One of my very first tasks as a newly graduated and unemployed member of the public was to learn how to create an Amazon account. It’s something that I didn’t need to be informed about, but it just wasn’t something that I thought would take long to get used to. So here we go!


Step 1) Log in to your Google account using your password

The most important thing you need to know is the basic information when signing up for this service. The name of your current employer may appear in the “Employer” section, so check that box to verify your company before creating a new account. You’ll need this information later on in the process. Next, please enter the personal details, such as gender, birthday, salary and education, which are not part of the application form. If you have no idea who you are, then click on the three dots next to your name at the bottom.

Step 2) Search for your desired seller

Now, it’s time to start search for your Amazon account. This will show your profile on all websites that sell goods on e-commerce sites like eBay. In fact, many of these companies will also ask you to provide some information on yourself, such as your address, contact information and more. Check for the relevant products from the sellers on their website and add them to your wishlist. For example: if you buy shoes, see that there are several other sellers out there offering similar or identical items. After adding those items, you can simply choose the one that matches your criteria and leave it at the end of your wishlist.

Step 3) Add a Product Key or Item ID to your Wishlist

You can use the product key or item id to uniquely identify each item in your order. These two kinds of keys are provided by the company and can also be found inside every single product you own and that fits the specifications you’ve given in the application form. But there’s only one way to access them. When signing up for a new order and selecting any store on your screen, select the Product Key or Item ID. Then press enter and choose where you want to receive the product key. Finally, sign in with your account from. This information is extremely crucial because you need this key to manage your orders on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Etsy or any retailer selling online stores. Step 4) Uploading an Attachment

When selecting an Amazon seller, they ask you to upload your images. And once uploaded, they should be submitted with the proper product key. You’ll see the file on your computer screen and you should proceed to download it. Follow the instructions provided and send the image to someone named as per your request. Make sure the image doesn’t exceed a maximum size. Once done with a particular seller, your files are ready for future orders. There’s even a feature called S3 (Simple Storage Service) that allows storing your content in a secure place that’s more secure than local storage.

Step 5) Creating Your Seller Link

The seller must link the links to the respective page where they give away its services. On both sides of the linking webpage, the title on each side should match the Amazon listing description on the right hand side and so on. However, not only Amazon listings are important, but also product descriptions for others, such as the ones from Etsy and eBay. Therefore, make sure that your Amazon website URL has the correct format, while the product info you uploaded should follow all the standards. As for the product key or item id, it’s also mandatory to submit them on the seller page.

Step 6) Uploading Social Media Links

Social media links aren’t required to submit your information as they do on the merchant page. Instead, post your social media handles on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Don’t forget to tag them and follow the process to submit them as soon as possible to reach the highest level of approval. At last, don’t forget to include the appropriate email in your comments so that nobody else can find and contact you or access your account. Also, keep in mind that your comments should always be respectful, because otherwise, the merchant might suspend the account or delete content.
